When I was 14 or 15 I got a job at a gas station and rode my BMX to work. We did regular business with a dealership nearby, and 3 of the guys there drove minis. So I started to check out shows and stuff. One of the guys I worked with picked up a 98 s10, and started to mod it a bit. So when I turned 16, I had my licence and started looking for a truck. I was set on a 2wd blazer from day 1, and I don't know why. But after awhile I found my pile at an auction and picked it up. I had it on blocks and cut coils that summer, and picked up some 17s. The next spring I bagged it, having a bagged ride in highschool was pretty cool. After that the mods just got more and more extensive, and now I havent driven the thing in 2 years.
Its funny. the other day at the shop, the guy I worked with at the gas station stopped by to check some work out and get a quote on some work. The whole time he kept saying "you guys are nuts" "this is crazy" "you do awesome work". Coming from the guy who helped ME install my first set of lowering blocks like 5 years ago, it was pretty cool.

my mom had some pics of me when i was about 7 or 8 in lakeland at a car show looking at some minitrucks (drip jobs, rossa kits, and verted tops, oh and dont forget the wires) dont remember that but the first mini i remember seeing was a hardbody on the interstate in georgia somewhere i think it was static dropped and when it hit a lip on a bridge and the back wheels hopped off the ground a little i fell in love! also heard stories from my stepbrother about his cousins toy with a walkthrough and stereo that used to blow out the windshield.picked up my first minitruckin in 97 while working at winn-dixie in high school. didnt get my first mini till 99 ( a hardbody of course) and my second in 01 ( another HB) and now have a 720 and box sonoma (my baby). cant get enough of the life. have to say it gets better everyday going to more shows and getting out there with my club (by the way the best group of friends anywhere!) i love minitruckin more than anything and cant wait to get my baby on the road so i can live it more fully. best is yet to come for me!! and you guys and ladies on ssm are friggin cool. this is an awesome topic btw!

I was 7, and there was a lowrider in front of me hitting switches (i was in the passenger seat of my moms old station wagon haha), but I have always liked trucks... then in like 97 or so I picked up a Mini Truckin and been in it ever since.
