everyone always forgets about this option.
Get a lawyer. You may not have the money to get the car back, but at least lawyers take payments.
I dont think you will find a benefactor on SSM, at least without telling us the rest of the story. No businessman worth his salt would give up consistent bi-weekly payments to repo a car thats only worth something to you. Especially when you are "over the bubble" on payments, he likely is into profit on your loan if you only owe 2600. No, you had an altercation, or missed a month of payments, or something else for him to be this vindictive.

no collage
Sorry, but that's funny.
im sure you thought he meant no college, but in actuality, they are trying to compose a beatiful poster that represents the different stages that they have went through with his car, hoping that if they show the emotional hold he has on his car, the car lot will feel sorry for him and let him have it back.
i felt bad for alex so was reading all the posts but yeah no collage made me laugh. i was like he is upposed to taking pictures and glueing them in a random pattern in a photoalbum or in a computer type photo shop program? LMAO

Dude,
That sucks. The BH/PH guys are straight up crooks. Your first mistake was going to the location to make payments. NEVER do that. NEVER let them see the vehicle once it's in your posession. Mail it to them, or go in another vehicle with someone else.
Anyways, I would try to scrape up the cash to pay the car off and get it out ASAP. You need to call every relative you know and beg them. If that doesn't work, then chances are good you are going to lose it, which is shitty.
What is the name of this place?? Make sure that you spread the word on it so that no one else uses this guy. And if he's not willing to work with you after you scrape up the cash, you tell him that you'll be out front with large signs telling everyone he's a rip off and a scam artist.
He won't want to have that going on.
He does have you over a barrell on the insurance. The salesman could have very well been in on it from the start. But they did take your word for it.
Most of the time in my experience they will want a FAXED proof on insurance, so if they let you leave the lot without that, they are taking a risk.
I would say try to find someone who is a lawyer, or ask all of your friends if they know one.
But I still think your best option is to borrow money from friends, relatives, or to liquidate assets in a hurry at the pawn shop and get the car back before you lose a bunch of money.
Sucks dude...
i would hit up everyone asap, its times like this to be happy youve been nice to your friends and family.

I'm not kidding, your best bet is to pay this dude off ASAP.
Even if you have to take a loan out with a relative.
HEY MAN I OWN A BUY HERE PAY HERE LOT IN GA AND WHAT HE'S DOING DOESN'T REALLY SOUND LEGAL. NOW YOU SAY YOUR CAR, DOES THAT MEAN YOU ALREADY OWNED THE CAR AND WERE TRYING TO GET ANOTHER OR IS IT A CAR YOU WERE TRYING TO BUY? AS FOR THE INSURANCE THING, HE'S RIGHT, HE'S NOT ALLOWED TO LET YOU LEAVE THE LOT. BUT THE OTHER PART SAYING YOU OWE HIM 2700 SOUNDS SCETCHY TO ME. I'D BE GIVIN HIM A CALL AND TELL HIM YOU GOT THE MONEY AND WHEN HE SHOWS YOU WHERE THE CAR IS BEAT HIS ASS AND TAKE IT BACK. IF ITS YOUR CAR AND DON'T ACTUALLY OWE HIM ANYTHING HE'S NOT ALLOWED TO JUST TAKE IT. GOOD LUCK MAN. -JASON ACRO N.GA.
