^^^ then what of all the people running around with aftermarket control arms, they are not DOT approved, does that mean that they should throw there stockers back on.

I see the argument both ways but just because something doesnt have the DOT appoval doesnt make it garbage. I have used both the compression fittings from home depot and parkers, had the same luck with both.

I used fittings from ACE Hardware and have nothing but problems. I have cracked two nuts and had numerous leaks. Its worth the time and money to buy the DOT fittings. Much better seal

I've got a mix of Home Depot, ACE, & DOT fittings right now. I got my DOT fittings from a big rig store, but it's a pain in the ass cause I can't just got look through their fittings to get what I need, I had to give them a specific list. But, te onle problem I've really had was a 1/4" nipple twisting off in one of my tank ports. It was from ACE, and was one of the thin ones without the hex-shank so I couldn't hold it while tighting the onther fitting onto it.

if you are talking compretion fitings from home depot yes you can use them BUT make sure you get the inner sleave. i would also like to say that i would only use this as a last resort if you can get ptc fittings there way better.

Compression fittings will work fine and are less subject to leaking than quick release fittings. When using a compression fitting with DOT air line always use the proper size insert inside of the tubing. This prevents the compression from crushing the hose when you tighten it up, which would obviously result in a leak.
Home Depot is fine, someone said ACE..That's were I usually get mine because things are easier to locate and they usually have a really good selection.

hey, next time you goto home depot ask them where their air fittings are. the fittings you buy are plumbing fittings, not used to "plumb" air suspension.

aren't they all made of brass? even look the same to me...I know many trucks including mine that have ran them with no problem...sure I could afford Parkers..but I would have had to ordered them....Lowe's is across the street ....I feal that as long as everything is installed right as far as nothing hitting or pressure being but on the fitting they will be fine....hell you put a DOT fitting in a bind on an improper install and you will have problem out of it.
