I looked through all my old posts ( you can search within the results using the edit>find>on this page feature of IE ), and the only thing I have said about full reverse is that the torque is up instead of down and the bar arc is oppostie the driveshaft arc.
I'm a big proponent of saying "do what you like". Nobody else has to drive it, mount your bags with zip ties and use garden hose for air line for all it matters to me. I try to avoid doomsday predictions, because there are always a thousand people who's idea of advice is "it worked for me".
