everyone can say what they want but i have owned two 6.5s a 94 and a 95 model and they were both crap i would love to put a duramax in mine now but i just cant see payin $8000.00 for a motor and i work for a chevrolet dealership thats with a discount not including all the wiring harness and computer but a cummins would really be the way to go

if you go with a 12 valve the only real wiring is the starter, alt., heat grid, and a couple of sending units.

Yeah, I like my 6.5, but if it goes, Im putting a 12valve manual cummins in it.
