Well after working on the truck this weekend we got the new comp ready. When i took the old one off to pull the back cover and reuse it on the new pump i didnt see anything that looked like it went out. We put the new one on and the same thing as the old one slow air build up so i checked the filter and found it was cracked. So the old comp was still fine and i plan on keeping it for a backup now. Just thought i would let you guys know that the original one was still good

Good to know that the grease method is "proven" to be a reliable way to go. Have not had any problems with my daughters setup. Still pumps air like crazy.

Cool let me know.. Yes we are planning to come down for the day. I really need to find a new filter thow i couldnt fix the crack in the bowl on the one we have on the truck. I hope they have one at the place i got it from but wont be able to get it fri morning in tacoma.

Awesome write up! Now...the decision....give up A\C or not? Granted....I could always try and setup another bracket and run two A\C compressors....one for air and one for A\C. Wonder how the lil Mazda motor would act like with that setup? I would think it would be fine...anyone running A\C AND an engine driven compressor?

you usually wont swee that do to the fact theat both running at the same time may give you a serious lack of power. and considering the low power from a mazda that would give you next to no power at all. lol
