i agree, i beleive the people that bust their ass to have a show quality truck and drive it everyday deserve more attention than what they get. the lifestyle didn't start with sponsership, it started with the love and devotion to have a sick ride and being able to say thats my creation and have pride about.

i want to make a quick reference to a guy i'm sure everyone from the south knows. John "Freakshow" Clemons aka Jhereg64 on here. has about the most badass tracker i've ever seen. it is completely original as far as ideas go and he'll be the first to tell you he won't try to do suspension work or fabrication. but he takes his hard earned money and his really creative ideas to a place that doesn't even really deal in minitrucks but in muscle cars and hot rods, and he works with them to make this Dream of his come true. at showfest 2004 he came in second to the fully sponsered trailer queen minitruckin cover vehicle Bagged Green Scion Xb that i'm sure everyone here has seen. and he just accepted is trophy with class and said hey the guy beat me. i'll just have to try a little harder next year. I don't know about you guys but i would have been PISSED to lose to a fully sponsored vehicle that came in on a trailer. its making people not even want to enter shows because they know that the judges are lookin at the sponsored rides alot harder than they are the real rides. I know a trophy is only plastic but we bust our asses so we can get the biggest piece of plastic they have and show everyone that "i earned that 4 foot tall piece of plastic!"

this reminds me of something. back in highschool when i was the only one rolling around town with a bagged truck everyone use to talk shit saying that my "daddy" use to pay for everthing. he didnt, and even if he did, so fuckin what. dont be a jealous bitch and talk shit just because you dont have the things you want. same goes for sponsored vehicels, they put the work in to get the sponsors and make it happen (may not be the same kind of work that "you" consider "hard work" but its a different kind). dont be mad cause someone has something nicer than you. a badass truck is a badass truck. period i dont give a fuck who owns it

I second that. Build something that catches the eyes of the sponsors and maybe you'll be able to get them next time around. If you can't build something worthy, quit fucking bitchin. I don't have any sponsors, don't care if I never have any, don't care to be in a magazine. I'm building my ride for me not everyone else and I think those of you bitching should try the same.

I dont think that layd out will have plastic trophys this year. Another thing You have to look at is people that have things buildt like the green XB they are built by professional and they have alot of knowledge and resourses to there dispossal. They can come up with some of the sickest cus of that. Now I have seen alot of built stuff from home garages that are sick and take a long time to build with very little toolage. Those are the guys that are the best. Praise to those people and get the scene back to what it should be. If you wondering what this is all about, Its just another rant. I am just spilling what I am thinking. I am in agreeance with you all.

just to chime in here, i know the people who built the scion, who wouldnt wanna give you free stereo and some air stuff if you were building the first of a kind.... some people are just jealous. the price he paid for the vehicle and the labor for building is alot more than the people complainin have in parts and the cost of their vehicles.

and let me get this straight if say JL audio or sony or whoever said, "hey thats a sweet build you are doin we would like to send you $3500 worth of stereo equipment to get that thing goin" you would say "no thats ok, id rather buy it myself," and like a wild man scream, "BUILT NOT BOUGHT" into their ear like you are fuckin crazy or something..........
