PayPal, If you have an account please read

Well many of you online here know me. I own www.customparts.biz" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.customparts.biz During the past 6 months I have been going through quite a battle with paypal and frankly have given up. IF YOU HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT BEWARE

I have sold parts for over 6 years and in the past couple years started selling online. I started by selling parts on KickAssCustoms them transfered to my own domain CustomParts.biz. I had a customer who ordered a set of Lambo Door Hinges over 8 months ago and he payed me with PayPal. Once I recieved the payment I contacted the distributor and had the hinges shipped out. This customer contacted me for a tracking # which I provided him with. But the customer said that he never recieved them. Of course he contacted paypal and they locked my account and wanted me to provide proof that I had indeed shipped the product which I done. Now 8 months later my account is still locked and until I refund this guy his money paypal said it will stay locked. Which is total ($899)

Now heres the kicker. My wife opened an account and started accepting online payments through it. Now it is locked also, and I have lost yet another $500 because I am going to have to come out of pocket to get this customers order out to him.

I am not in anyway saying that the customer whom ordered the hinges did recieve them. But I proved by the tracking # and information that they were delivered to the address he provided paypal with. I feel that I done all that could be asked for besides having requiring a signature for delivery. I do now require a signature for all orders for this reason. I know what a pain it is having to be there to sign for a package. But now I have no choice but to inconvience my customer and cost them more money by having to require the signature.

So my whole point of this post is to warn all of you "new" Eccomerce people of paypal. It sure is convient to order with that paypal debit card but one customer complains about not getting something and all your moneys gone. Its as simple as that. I have lost a total of $1300!!! I have always tried to have the lowest prices on parts to help out fellow minitrucker but it is things like this that cost companies like mine. I have made the decision to close my website effective 11-20-05. All orders up to then will be processed and on the morning of the 20th I will remove the site from the net. I have sold alot of parts to guys here on SSM and have enjoyed doing business with each and all of you. It is sad that a company as large as ebay and paypal continue to knock us small guys around like they do. I put this post in the minitruckin section so that all fellow minitruckers can read this and take heed to what I am saying. If you deal with paypal and run a business you will get burned. All it takes is one complaint and your money is gone...........

I have posted www.customparts.biz" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.customparts.biz in the classifieds section of this site FOR SALE. The person that offers me the most money as of the 20th of this month gets it. I dont care if its $10.

damn dude thats shitty. ive never dealt with you before, but none the less, it sucks for small business owners to get rubbed out over stupid shit that is supposed to help your business grow. anyhow, will you still take phone orders or are you getting out of the biz all together?

thats bullshit. i'd take paypal AND the shipping company to court over this. for one thing i don't see how paypal can legally freeze YOUR bank account. and secondly if the shipping company claims the product was delivered to the correct address then the responsibility is on them now. if the guy had a tracking number he knew when it should have got there to arrange to be home to recieve it its not your fault if it stayed on his doorstep all night cuz he wasn't home and someone said hey look a package i think i'll steal it. not to mention check this customer out a little bit he's more than likely done this before and you just need to have paypal research him and see if this is a recurring problem with him. trust me there's alot of thieves out there and all you gotta do is take a little action yourself.

I wil continue to take credit card orders online till the 20th of this month.

I will continue to take orders be email or phone. It is best to contact me by email and give me a # to call you at as I am pretty busy during the day. I really hate to get out of eccommerce cause I have met some great people over the past 2 years. There is some top notch guys/gals in the scene. To mention one I accidently shipped out a ViAir 450 to the wrong customer by mistake and that guy called me and let me know that he did not order it and shipped it back to me. That amazed me. Just goes to show you there is plenty of good people left in the hobbie.

Like stated above, I will still sell parts but not online. Money order, check, or cash.

ive never had a problem either with paypal but ive heard of this happening before. all i gota say is dont deal with "RICERS" and their "RICER PARTS", they are some shady fuckers.

Well the lambo door hinges were sold to a guy for a S10 Blazer. I gots my eyes on the vehicle and see it at some shows during the year, just waiting for the lambo door hinges to show up on it Cause they are marked. But like I said I am in no way acusing this guy of lying. Maybe he did not get them but if I had a package worth that much you could bet that I would be at home to recieve it. And who carries off a 80LB package?????????

Just wanted to let everyone know what was going on so that maybe it could keep it from happening to some other people.

I havent either had any problems and really dont need any. I need to check into a different shopping cart I guess. Thanks for the heads up
