Are you sure Maaco paints the windows too?? On their website it shows them masking everything off. I wouldn't see why they would do such a shitty thing. But anyways...thanks for your help guys. Guess I'll leave it to the "pros" for now and do some practice work on something. I want my car to look clean as hell...now half-assed.

maaco will paint windows, wheel wells, wheels and everything else. overspray is their friend. The also maganged to paint my interior because they sprayed with the windows down and no masking. plus there were runs like a mofo and in a year it flaked off and exposed the base paint not even scuffed.

They painted over the rust on my buddies Caddy, painted his windows, tires, exhaust tips you name it. Maaco sucks ass. Plain & simple.

maaco does suck. it might look good for a while but it will peal off. if your gonna paint your car yourself i would practice on smaller parts to get the feel of how clear lays down. it can be very tricky. alot of a paint job is in the prep work and a clean shop. also make sure you have lots of florecent lights. when you put the clear on you will need lots of light.

yea they were shit. in their commercials they show a bunch of professional looking clean cut 80's looking white guys and then you show up and 95% of the people there can barely speak english and there probably painting your car for minimum wage. so think about how much effort there going to put into your ride.

Yea....I'm going to look around at different body shops and see what they'll charge. Probably a lot more, but if it's for quality work, I don't really mind paying it. I just don't have $1000+ for a paintjob.
