Cowl Hood for a BD 2200

Where can I get a cowl hood for my 88 2200, Its bodydropped 3inches and I need something to cover up the engine. Can anyone give me any help?

How about droppin the motor mounts and keeping the stock hood

The hood is already cut out, This truck is my daily, So I cant afford to take off work to drop the motor

It takes a couple hours to drop the motor, you just support the engine with a jack, pull the mounts off, cut them longitudinally (so that you have a frame half and a motor half), slide the frame half UP a half inch and weld them together. You have to unbolt the lower crossmember under the pan and clearance it for the oil pan, but thats easy too. Dont go more than about 3/4 inch or you will run into the center steering link.

Or you can have your best buddy surprise you with some custom made dropped motor mounts like Wayne did for me, I still owe him a nuts windmill for that nice deed.

lol, my words wore confusing... I meant hows that BADASS MAZDA OF YOURS sean... No updates in a while, just wondering if there is anything new..

Mine is dropped 3" and running stock hood and the motor isnt lowered. wouldnt hurt to lower it though, but mine fits right now.

Did you do anything to make the engine fit? I dont really want a cowl hood, but need to put my hood back on.
