what style are you going for ? wide whites and steelies or big ass billet wheels, if you go the billet route go air, if you are doing nostalgic then stay away from air IMO

no air, use stock '29 suspension like a dropped axle, wishbones, etc.

No way on the air (if you really want an old school opinion like the thread title this is my 2 cents) I'm with FatCaddy, Sinical, Rev. and NRChop. I was raised on traditional rods an customs in one of the oldest custom shops in the country as my house growin' up - my advice for real, go find some custom shops that have actually been open since the 50s/early 60s (or guys who have been building since then) and learn about the old days listening to stories before you make any kind of build (or life) decision.
