In the March/April issue of Airbrush Action Mag, this guy put rust colored flames on on a flat black El Camino with this stuff. Start with a brown urethane base with a brush and let dry overnight. Next fling this rust solution on and let it dry. Then he cleared it with a flat clear. Looked like real rust. Hope this helps.

theres a difference between patina and red oxide primer...true patina looks like old paint, red oxide just looks like red primer. there was a mazda painted patina at showfest last year...it was awesome...ill try to dig out a picture

the cab and bed on this truck is exactly patina...if you lean on it and it rubs off on your clothes then that is patina .
