Dont lie. You know you go the bank. LOL
haha thats pretty good.... I dont make shit... my bills are more then I make and I still manage to roll the bagged rides lol....
I realize how hard it is for some of you to go to work and also go to school and still build a truck... but try doing it and paying all the bills. not living at home with mommy and daddy. then you cant spend every dime of your check. you have to save it for rent, utilities, food etc.
thats why there are so many 5 year projects out there rollin primer for so long. then dont even start with the guys who knocked up some chick at 17. then you really have no money.
I hear some guys crying about working all those long hours and still having to mow the lawn and do chores.... boohoo
you still have a place to sleep, and a place to wash your clothes, the clothes that mommy and daddy bought for you.
try doing it all with not a dime from mommy and daddy. im not saying its anything bad, if they are willing to help then thats great. but dont expect simpathy from the REAL blue collar guys.
I got something for all of you
Michael White (DawgsledMazda)I may live at my parents house but I rent a room I pay Gas bill water bill bring in all the food and I have 2kids a Wife and a dead end job. I make 9.00 and hour started this job a year ago at 7.50 and the only this I have to show for is two old ass trucks a 65 and a 66 both of which still arent finished the 66 has been chopped and started on a bodydrop, But needs hella body work and many hours left I only work 15-30 hours a week and my bills are more than what I make. Mommy and Daddy don't buy me Sh!t I pay for everything. I mow yards and do landscape and if it raining I dont work and guess what its doing NOW RAINING haha. So I am one of those day to day life people i cant plan anything ahead. SO for everyone in this position Keep your head up it will get better and maybe in another 5 years my truck may get on the road its already been bout 5 since I started it.
sorry for taking so much time..
^^^ guess I'm a little confused, why not find a 40-50 hour a week job? 15-30 hours/week and I'd kick my kid out regardless of paying rent or not.
yea honestly man, so i do live at home that doesnt automatically mean im a "lets get everything free goldenboy". I work my ass off luckily i just have a roof over my head. Thats only till my girl and i get outta school.
well im 32 now been livin on my own since 17. work straight commision at a stereo shop. have a wife and 4 kids at home. been workin on my van in the back yard for 3.5 years. it will get done one day. and like said before living paycheck to paycheck sucks. but ive been doin it so long i dont know what i would do with extra money.lol
glad to know im not the only broke ass minitrucker out there.
oh and i would never thought that about bellowu. those trucks are just bad ass.
well im sure that most who live at home and are still building a truck are hard workers or they wouldnt have the drive to do anything but party.
but when times are tough, remember you probably have it better than most people who have money. they have it but theres more they have to spend it on as well.
good luck to all you young minitruckers out there trying to do anything on a budget. those are the people I like to help.
hey Jason I am 23 Do everything I can to live my life and to help my folks out they arent doing good either. For who ever said find another job well hell why doesnt everyone else find another jb instead of Bitchin bout not having money? You can't come down on one person bout getting a better job and not others. I do what I gotta do to survive Just like everyone else. Not hating on anyone cause I am in the same boat but shit when you got peeps talking bout get a better job, Why you shut the hell up and let people live there life.
I didn't say anything about a BETTER job, I'm just saying that working 15-30 hours per week is what has me stumped. More hours = more money and I don't have a lot of sympathy for peeps that don't work as much as they could and still bitch about money. Hell, I do 40 hours in the summer, and 60+ in tax season and still do side jobs for body work in the summer to make that extra cash. I don't hate on people for having bad luck and a tough time in life, everybody hits tough times now and again, but at some point it's hard to not see it as just lazyness. NOT talking about you personally, just my point of view in general.
