blue colar just means someone that works hard for there money, 50 plus hours a week at any pay. Play as hard as u work. I work 55 hours a week just to save enough money to spend on the project

also, no use complaining over small wages. If you want more money, get a job that pays more. Roughnecking on an oilrig starts out at $18/hr. WITH NO EXPERIENCE

I still live like I make $9/hr .... 50% of my money I put into savings

Roughnecking on an oil rig starts at 22 hour (Canadian), plus 100 a day sub pay. It's great money. They do 21 days on and 7 days off. Get ready to work fucking hard and be treated like a peice of shit. But hey, if you like money......

They do either 6on2off 12on4off or 7on7off around here. And the "bottom hole" pay depends on the company .. usually $20-40 a day extraand it is EASY money. You might bust your ass 1/2 the time, the other half is laid back. If your not scared of a little REAL work, its the way to go. And there are so many rigs running, if the Driller (boss) treats you like crap and is a prick, tell him to shove it and be on another rig the next day.

Main thing is just to find a crew that you feel safe around. I do have friends that have been killed in the oilfield. You have to be careful.

But where else can you make that kind of money as soon as your 18 (younger if you lie) with no experience

10.92/hr 40 hrs a week.i work for the county hwy department.no overtime. wife werks part-time at wally world because shes in college.i think they need to make a foundations for people like us. hell not to fix my car to help me pay bills and stay sane
