Wanna Put Primer on my truck but......

Im done shaving my whole truck, and now i wanna primer the whole truck. My question do i just remove the paint to bare metal and then you spray primer on it or do i put a thin coat bondo? i dont really want to put bondo but i think if i dont i will start to see rust. help

you dont necessarily have to take it down to bare metal... just strip the clear or sand it down to base coat and you can shoot over that...

thin coat of bondo?.. i hope to hell your not putting 'bondo' over paint At All.. big No-No..

just wet sand the entire truck with 800 grit and then primer it. i dont know what you are talking about bondo for?

ok so no bondo,thank you guys for the help. im gonna sand it. ok so another question, i live in nor-cal and i cant find a good place to get a green colored primer. anybody know where i can get it on-line or close by stockton?

get some white primer and mix some green paint in it and add reducer if needed.

I don't have a paint gun.

then how you gonna primer it????? if you gonna say with a shaky can your better off with bondo over the paint.....
