the bodyshop never mentioned if mine warped or not but that might explain why they went so far with the filler on the doors and gate...had to smooth everything back to normal i guess...came out good though

if u dont want it to warp dont weld it & use 3M metal bondin adhesive..... no warpping no weldin

when are ppl gonna learn that you cant do that .....its meant for bonding panels that are unseen..or that are not painted over...it will show a ghost line EVERYTIME once painted

no lines in the beds i mention in the previous post & most of the panel its meant for are panel u paint over (I.E. roof skins, rear quater panels & door skins)

I have also heard of shops using 3M metal bonding adhesive for door handles and such. It takes away having to weld it and worrying about warping. Im not a body man Im just reporting the news LOL

The panel bond is designed for overlap joints. When u shave handles with it or anything where there is 2 diff pieces of metal buttin its gonna show a ghost. I know several people that have them shaved this way and when it gets hot out in the sun u see exactly where the filler plate is. Like i posted earlier in this thread the only way ive found to eliminate ghost completely and minumize warping is to cut the spot out and make a perfectly flush filler leaving just a lil gap aroun perimeter to allow for expansion. Tack it till its solid allowin cool time and grind slow. Using this method u will not ever see a ghost.

just space out your tacks and let them cool then keep doing that it should keep warping down a little.
