i have a 22re efi and want to swap it to a crab what is involved

Swap the intake with a carbed one put a mech. fuel pump on and change your dist.

i dont know if you can really mount a crab to the intake...claws might get in the way!! LOL...

yep, all you need is a carb, the carb intake, and the mechanical fuel pump...along with the distributor.

i think carb'd is better. ive driven both before and it seems like the 22r has more pep to it. although the 22re seemed like it had more towing strenght.

oh arent the interal part in the motors different from efi and carb'd? i mean you can make it work by just swapping the intake, fuel pump, and dist. but arent the cams, different?

cam profiles are different too. Its probably not going to hurt going from efi to carb. If you were going carb to efi you'd have to change it for sure.

You may also want to put a fuel pressure regulator on your line since the in tank pump is for efi.

yeah, thats what i thought. i had a buddy that ran his like that, it was pretty fast but he said that his gas mileage got worse.

Yeah, uh, I have this Nissan Hardbody and it's damn fast!! So fast that its.....uh.....well it's fast damnit!! LOL! j/k but seriously its fast! lol....
