how to fab. a center console for an '84 std. cab. What size and/or thickness of sheet metal would be good to use? How to go about fabin' my own center piece?

16 or 18 gauge sheet.. but if you're not familiar with metalworking i would suggest starting off with a wooden console first

or why not use the center console out of a 4runner of that year model, thats what i plan on doing
