I THINK CHANNELING A STD CAB IS A LIL GOOFY ..I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY YOU WOULD WANT TO STRADDLE A BIG LUMP IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR FLOORBOARD AND UNDER YOUR PEDALS AND NOT JUST AT LEAST SCALP AND REINFORCE THE FRAME IN THE FLOORBOARD TO STOCKFLOOR IT JUST IN THE FLOORBOARD AREA YOULL HAVE THE FRAME EXPOSED ANYWAYS SO WHY NOT JUST GO AHEAD AND SCALP IT plus you have to cut and lower the body mounts and on a std cab you'll have to butcher the floor and raise the tranny hump and driveshaft tunnel so i would say do a traditional...i did a traditional on my 06 and then lowered the tranny hump in order to keep all the ac and heat...heres my 2runner its stockfloored and it feels like your literally sittin on the ground

mine's not a std.. it's extended cab. and i don't want to lose headroom, and don't have the cash to stockfloor it.. or the time.

I kind of agree about the lump in the floor. Some trucks not not bad, like fullsize Chevys. Toyotas aren't horrible, but not great. I thought about doing it to the 720, but I really didn't want a 3" channel to step over. I feel its not much more work, and sometimes less work to the floor to just stock floor it. And if you're doing it yourself, not much more money. I don't think I would channel a minitruck, after sitting in one that was. I like the stock floor thing a lot better.
