Channeling?

What all is involved in Channeling the floor for a Body on Flat rocker?
My truck is already layed out on 20's
front is already Z'd
I have seen alot of talk about this but wanted to get more info on it before I decide wether I want to stock floor it or channel it.
I know I need to move the brake booster and reverse the clutch master cylinder.
Also how far must the motor be dropped to run stock hood?
Once the motor is dropped what else needs to be modified?

draglink depends on the specific truck, as well as the actual measurements. apparently, these trucks were abit different as far as the measurements are concerned. Get some motor mounts from Seth, section your oil pan, you may not have to section the drag link, you'll have to wait and see.
There was a multi part article in minitruckin recently about "channeling" a yota. Dig out some back issues.

ya i was asking questions about this awhile ago.. i read the articles on the minitruckin online web page.. seems pretty easy, but what is this about reversing the clutch?
plz explain.

i too have thought about this. wondered how hard it would be.. and will it lay rocker? and how noticable will it be in the floor? one more q.. you have the link to the article?

seems fairly simple. i might go ahead ad try this on my cab.. if it doesn't work out, i'll just do a traditional. just seems to easy not to try!

i considered this but then didnt do it. personaly i dont see what the point is if you channel it and then have to stretch the tranny tunnel, u might as well just trad bd it.

i have a trad/stock floor combo on my 82, i dont know who named it a stock floor bd cod on my truck i had to redo the tranny tunnel anyways.

it realy just depends how low you want to go and how much head room your chasing

would you lose more head room by trad bd it? or is it the same with channeling and trad?

channeling u dont loose head room...trad bd you do.. the whole damn floor is moving up.
