My friend hit a possum once in his Chevy. And the front cross member on those trucks are like a blade. It hit the bottom of the truck several times since it was about 1" off the ground when it hit, and left a god awful mess all over the bottom side.

nothing compared to the damn rabbits that used to bolt across the dirt road out of town i used to hit up.

id be buzzin along.... (seriously buzzin with a flowmaster 40 series on the truck) and about 400 watts of light goin...... and out of nowhere a rabbit bolts out and smacks the front diff.... it makes for an eerie, furry, and noisy mess at about 70mph...

i have a strange one...when my truck was static dropped i was driving by a neighborhood park near my house and a duck flew into, then under, my front right tire.

but back to the original question, i just drove around at a certain height and after not bottoming out for a while i dropped it down some more, then repeated until i was at a comfortable height. you get a feel for it.

ah right... the reason i ask is because of my alighnment. if im gonna get it alighned..... i need to find out a general height to send it in as when it gets alighned so its not far off of adjustment.

ok.... so this is on a slightly diffrent subject but same aspect...

what is needed in order to lay on my frame in my truck? i know thus far that you gotta either cut or replace the tranny x-member, tuck the exhaust up even with the frame and raise the tank. is there anything else that hangs up the process or am i missing something???

Aside from that, Z the frame.

I got my truck aligned at half travel, so about 5 inches off the ground. I get 12" of lift, but never go more than 10 so I considered that half. This way its always at a happy medium, and works well at all heights.
