was wondering how much room to allow myself when bagging my truck and have no real idea what a "safe" ride height would be........ by ride height i mean between the ground and the frame. its my DD so its gotta deal with normal bumps and dips along the road.

im gonna place some rub pads on a few parts of the frame for safe measures but not intentionally looking to drag my frame through. thus the question. give me your opinions....

LAY IT THE F OUT AND DRAG IT!!!!! BEFORE THE YOTA MY 00S-10 WAS MY DAILY, I DRUG THE PISS OUTTA IT. TYPICLY WHEN I DROVE, IF I HIT THE ROAD DOTS WHEN I CHANGED LANES I WAS GOOD. THAT WAS HOW I CHECKED MY RIDE HIGHT!! IF I DIDNT HIT EM I WASNT LOW ENOUGH. YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER THAT YOU HAVE A ADJUSTABLE SUSPENSION SO YOU CAN LIFT UP FOR SHIT, LIKE THE BUMPS ON THE 8 WEST OR THE 52, JUST BECAREFUL ON THE 805S, I DRUG A HOLE IN ONE OF MY AIR TANKS GOING OVER ONE OF THE BRIDGES..LOL JUST DRAG IT BRO!!!

haha!! well yea, i guess thats the point of adjustable suspension huh? yea, around here ANY road is gonna be garbage so im gonna have to constantly be on the hunt for bumps..... especially bridges!!! as is my truck smashes through those rises...

i measured my frame rails and i have 7.5 inches from the ground to the frame up front, and 8 inches in the rear. not to mention everything else that hangs below the frame.....

im gonna fix all that though...... exhaust, tranny x-member, and tank. im only dumping on 245's with 16" wheels..... so im not gonna have to go very far up.

this is drive height for my truck, some people love to tell you they drive an inch off the ground but thats kind of unreasonable on the freeway at 80mph

yea.... wich i realize such as around here, that it wont fly. roads around here are too chewed up and uneven. ive been on off road trails that are flatter then our highway and city roads so.....

i figure that i use around 3-4 inches of normal travel so i figured thats about the range i was looking for...... just needed to reference other people to see if im off by alot.

by the way..... your truck is to die for man. VERY NICE.

WELL I DROVE THE SD ROADS FOR OVER 9 YRS JUST AS HIGH AS I SAID, OTHER THAN HITTING MY AIR TANK ON THE BRIDGE TRANSITION I NEVER HAD AND PROBLEMS, YEA THE ROADS ARE KINDA F'D UP BUT IT REALLY ISNT THAT BIG OF A DEAL. AND AS TO NOT DRIVING A BAGGED TRUCK AS LOW AS POSSIBLE, ISNT THAT KINDA POINTLESS?? OH WELL TO EACH HIS OWN.. I PERSONALLY DRIVE MY TRUCKS AS LOW AS POSSIBLE, EVEN AT 80MPH LIKE I SAID TO EACH HIS OWN
