well, since im gonna bag my 86 std cab/bed mini.... all i wanna do is lay out on the 16" starions i have. simple 4 link or 3 (whatever i decide to go with depending on room)
just a simple drop and raise action is all i need but there are so many options and threads with trucks using diffrent types of bags and such i wanna see what you guys would currently suggest for my setup.
so for the best bang for my $$$ what bags should i go with front and back?
I'm running Slam Specialties RE-6's and RE-7's and they work great.
that looks like what everyone's been using so i guess its the hot ticket at the moment. whats the diffreneces between the re-6's and rs-7's??
what are you using in the front if you are using diffrent types?
the Re6 is a 2500lb bag and the Re7 is a 2600lb bag. it is most common to see a 2500lb (Re6) bag in the front and a 2600lb bag (Re7) in the back due to the over all size of the bag. I have Re7s on the front on my 4runner and i had to cut alot more of the frame to make room were as a 2500lb bag will fit in with minor cutting
ah ok... thanks for clarifying.
ok, so now that i know a good bag set to get..... who's got the best deal on em? any suggestions?
also the re-6 is a 6" wide bag and the re-7's are a 7" wide bag... and i believe they both compress to around 3"
now... im still new to this air bag deal but is it the bigger the bag the less psi it takes to lift??? and vise-versa?
yes and you can stuff the 7's up front but if you're a newb, i'd stick to the 6's.
the bigger tha bag the less psi it takes to get lift, but it takes more air to get lift... but the smaller the bag the less air it takes to lift it, but theres alot more wieght in the front than in the rear on most trucks so the front takes more psi to lift...
