yeah there were 2wd 4runners..and still are in the new body style too..however they are still on a 4wd chassis and have the 4wd type suspension..so u still need to use pickup stuff..

Early 4runners were just rebodied truck frames . that changed in 90 for the new model where they went to a coil sprung rear end.

Wahooooo I just picked one of them up the other day along with a 86 2x4.Im thinking of pulling the 87 4 runner body off and sitting on the 86 2x4......I might have to do this as if I dont have enough of a project.Robert ha ha ha the angry pirate has struck gold.

we have the two door 4runners in australia, they mostly turbo desiel motors and are called Surfs.
