back to this emmisions crap...

no aftermarket intake... well some good news, we called state inspecter for emmisions and he set up appointment to diagnose the problem for free!!! then they will let me repair the re inspect.... so ill let you all know what is up with this truck on aug 11th after the appointment.
well tomorrow my wife will be starting a static drop on this for the winter... and over the winter she will purchase the stuff to make a 4 link and the air mang. stuff to bag this spring.. she is gonna start a project thread soon.

Your wife is auto inclined? Lucky guy. Most of my friends don't even know how to point the light right. I just gave up on them. Free stuff is always good, especially if it's usefull.

she isnt so much "auto" inclined as she is a minitrucker to the bone..... she welds better then me and im a union sheetmetal worker. so that means i have 15 years of welding exp and she has 1 year.. picked it up while i was building my s10. Every scrap piece i cut off for backhalf she would pick it up and weld it together and next thing you knew i was like.. wtf??

we bought the MM for her to do. She wanted a truck, i really dont have time for another and she said shell do it if i guide her. so were going at it starting tonight, static for the winter.

hey ryan.... ok i went to the emmisions guy today, he checked out the truck, said i had low vac to the egr, however he said the enging vac is great, now he told me to remove the throttle body and try to clean the erg port. i have it off, ok there is 3 ports the 2 outter i can blow thru easy as hell, but the egr one has slight restriction, i have pored everything i can thru it, i blew 150 psi air, stuck thin wire, still slight restriction.. is that port smaller? i might be trying to make something larger that isnt, i was stupid and didnt check it before i blew air thru it. im gonna put back together and try it again...

well put back together and what do ya know, egr is opening up now, wasnt before and it also is getting the 5.9 reading when racing engine!!!! well see if it passes tomorrow....

That sounds great man. Was one of the problems of my truck too except the biss screw port. Sounds like you should pass this time. The other gas readings are in the right area and the nox was the only one holding you back.
