I have a 350/700R4 in mine.
You need to make motor and transmission mounts.
Drive shaft, exhaust and cooling system need modification.
I would recommend finding a radiator that would be used by any car or truck that came factory with a 350, and make that work in your truck.

Most people say that you need to modify the firewall for the distributor to clear, but it isn't necessary.
Also, with a little creativity, you can even keep AC if you have it.

I don't have a build thread, but you can click this link to see what I've done.

He is right about the radiator last year I ran the stock mazda radiator with the stock 13psi cap and it over heated often this yea I'm running a universal summit racing 2 core aluminum radiator and so far it seems to run pretty cool but I'm also runnin a electric pusher fan and a mechanical puller fan and a 180 thermostat

Look through this post (" target="_blank), it has directions on what issues you will face in a v8 swap. It's from a kit that used to be made by some fine canadians.

As far as an inline 6, the engine is longer than a v8, therefore harder to fit in the mazda, not impossible, just harder.

v8 fits nice

i dont know about an inline 6 but if you can make it fit might have to move the radiator and transmission cooler in the bed. would be pretty cool though. a i-6 would be neat i havent seen any b's with one. however i saw a b26 that a guy put a 5cyl. mercedes diesel in. its on Youtube.
