why don't you get a bubble hood and cut a little of the supports off the hood

I dont think the bubble will help where its going to hit..

my hood is painted.. and i dont want to spend money on a hood..

I cut can cut and weld a mount for basically free...

long term I want to graft a 1" cowl hood on..
