I want to do a 5 Lug Conversion. I have heard that Toyota spindles work, but I was wondering if anyone knew more specifically which year, and what special mods it takes to make them work. I tried looking up write ups, but didnt see anything. If someone knows of one, please send me the link. THanks!

84-95 is the most commonly used. And if you keep your stock Mazda arms you'll have to drill new holes for the yota ball joint. I have tubular control arms that ere specificly made for yota spindles. Mine are kustom werks. But cando makes them as well and I'm sure a ton of other places do too

oh ok cool. I saw the arms you got in your build thread. so just to clarify, Kustom Werk makes Mazda arms made for toyota spindles? Are you running drop spindles? or just the stock yota ones? Where did you get your arms from?

Hey Hunter, was there any tie rod issues you had to deal with when you did your spindle swap? Any answer will help. I got these off a 93 Yota that Id really like to install soon, they still have all 4 balljoints attached but I didnt get the tie rods.

yo my people.

japchef...yes the arms are mazda to yota spindle. and i am running 2 inch drop spindles. and i actually bought the arms on streetsource. a dude was selling them super cheap and couldnt pass them up.

hey dave, as far as the tie rods went, im a little fuzzy because i ditch them all together. but when i was messing with em. i seem to recall using an actual tie rod end for a yota truck and it threaded right on to the mazda tie rod connector. i also checked a mazda 4x4 tie rod end and it looks like it would work as well.

i ended up using a high misalignment heim joint for my rack and pinion.

jap chef, like i said i know cando specialties makes mazda to yota arms and im sure places like unusual fabrication would have no issue. or sadistic iron works. i know michigan metal works can as well. they are badass. expensive but badass. they use a jeebus joint (like a uniball) and from talkig to him it gets 7 degrees more movement each way then the ball joints that i currently have. which , when your running a big wheel on a body drop, everylittle bit more you can get is awesome
