Noticed the little write up as well. My truck made the Dropt n' destroyed show coverage in this months issue. Congrats! That's really cool!

I know its been a while since I've done anything relevant to Stranger, but it had, sadly, been sitting in the yard with a dead starter.

I finally got around to fixing the starter, and fired it up. I moved it back to the concrete slab, and ended up doing a little tiding up something that had been bothering me.

I use an aluminum plate to hide some of the butchery I had to do to the rad support. There was a gap between the aluminum plate, and the headlights/grill. I had some new rubber molding left over from my recent Mustang project as I welded the hatch shut I no longer needed the molding to seal the hatch. So, I used this bit of molding on the truck.

Its been raining all day today so forgive the bad pics.

A little update.

After reading about many failures of the Aeromotive A1000 fuel pumps I had to made a decision. Either spend approx $350 for the Aeromotive pump controller, or just buy another small pump for everyday driving then have the A1000 kick on under boost.

So I ended up buying a new gas tank, and welding a sump onto it, and buying a new Carter electric pump which arrived today.

Of course with the pump/fittings/braided line, and one way check valve, I'm right at $200.

I finally got mostly finished with the exhaust today.

All I need to do now is weld a bar across the top of the bed to hang some muffler clamps. That should bring the pipes even further away from the gas tank. [ I plan to put vents in the top of the bed lid to help keep everything cool]

Then fab a bed lid out of aluminum, and I should be officially finished.
