Repeating what was said earlier. . .

Ground the test connector (Green: 1-pin) with a jumper wire. NOTE: The connector is located next to the Self-Diagnostic Connector.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
If the CHECK engine light illuminates, goes off, and stays off no codes are present.
If the CHECK engine light illuminates, goes off, and then starts flashing, codes are present.

From what you are saying, the light does not go off at all, so that indicates "something."

You are welcome. . .and if you could. . .when you sort this out. . .will you please post your findings in this thread. . .for two (maybe more) reasons. . .

1. Over 160 people have already been looking at this particular thread for informational purposes. So there is some interest in fixing a non-starting FI issue.

2. It will complete and close the thread, Even if the problem turns out to be something really simple or overlooked.

This exact thing happened to me last year. the truck would start but then you would hit the gas and it would die and i thought that it wasnt getting enough gas but i found out that it wasnt getting spark. turns out i fried my processor. threw a new one in it and now it runs like a champ.

processor? what is that? Oh to the earlier post.....The motor was taken out and rebuilt

its the ecu. i fried it and put a new one in and my truck runs great.

Ok...The truck is now alive or at least running........It ended up being the distriburtor. It was working but not all the time... I guess .I replaced it and its alive....Now I need a cat converter, it is clogged almost completely. you guys are great and thank eveyone who gave me input of any kind.
