PerTronix Ignitor electronic conversion?

Has anyone done or considered using a kit like this?





It seems it may be an alternative to get away from the points style ignition. Once I get home I may do some research to see if this may be a good alternative to replacing a faulty distributor. I am not sure the compatibility but it may work?

for the most part these trucks dont have points in them, they already run a similar system.
