Need Help with motor swap!!

My 1993 Mazda B2600i 4x4 has finally had it. At a little over 260000 km my truck is frequently overheating. Head has warped and is oozing all the time out the head gasket. As well my rad is needed to be topped up frequently and is always contaminated by oil. Motor swap is next on the list and is to be a DD next fall. I want to know what motor will bolt into my transmission so I dont have to compromise my 4x4. Less modifications the better. His is a 4wd the Kia swap wouldn't be as easy. The 2600i has a different trans than the b2200. I think the 2600i motor is a Mitsu? So a Starion motor might bolt up??? Or try other mini 4wds Mitsu, Dodge, Nissan, Toyota, Isuzu. Any of those would be viable complete drivetrain swaps. If the trans case has the drop on the same side. My 91 Toyota 4wd has a passenger side drop. Don't know what Mazda's have. Throwing all this info out. Hope it helps. And if I am wrong on any of this I apologize early. I used to be into 80's Gm cars so Mini truckin info has to overwrite that info.

So if I did a drivetrain swap from a Toyota would I have to replace rear ends of difs?

BTW my truck has an automatic tanny and is a cab plus (extended cab).

no you can leave the rear and front axle. just swap over the engine, trans, and t-case. then have some custom driveshafts made. Of course there is some other modifying you have to do. Hell if you lived close I would help.

Thanks Chaserjohndoe, I doubt you live close I live in northwest Canada. I love my truck because the owner before me has it rigged up great for winter (inline coolant heater, great aftermarket heater, 4 overload leafs, great winter tires, and ive added a deck, tube front and rear bumpers and new tires next spring). So mymemoryloss, a 13b is a straight over swap? Do you have a build thread? Thanks everyone and sorry I havent responded lately.

Wikipedia says the 88-93 B2600's had Mazda G6 engines. I hear those engines feel pretty fly....
