Sorry I noticed that it wasn't in the pictures after I posted. Harness looks good. Hopefully mine will be that clean when I get it together.

Well decided to ditch the kia exh mani and run a 1.8 miata tubular one instead. Had to drill a couple new holes In the flange and "stretch" a few with the torch to fit the bolt pattern. But its done and ready to go in. Also took my measurements for the crank sensor. Everythings wired and ready to go save for the parts swapped onto the kia block. That will be done right as the engine goes in. I will be swapping it this sunday as its my next day off that will have good weather.

Awesome, glad it's coming along for you. On the exhaust manifold, some of the Kias also have a tubular "header", so if you can't find the Miata header check out some more Kias.

Ran into a snag today on my swap. Not a big deal, but my truck isn't equipped with the in-tank fuel pump. I was going to get a sending unit from an FI 2600 today, but someone had already picked it. So... do I pull the pump from the Kia and make my pick up, or is there any reason I can't add an external pump? I was looking through parts on the O'reilly's site and they have one that is rated at 45 to 63 psi. Would this work?

Right i believe they were tubular till 98 or something. Dont quote me there. I do have one of these. Well the top half anyway. The runners are a bit larger in diameter than the miata however the collecter section is quite pinched. As for the fuel pump. Not sure. Mine is in tank. I will check alldata at work tomorrow and see what kind of pressure the kia calls for. Does your truck have a fuel return line to the tank? Im using a pump out of a 4.0 ranger. Which im guessing is similar to the b4000. Im using the whole unit. So as to use the sending unit as well(mines spastic). I will check that out tomorrow and see what it says and let you know. I would immagine that as long as all the proper components were there and the proper specs it would be ok.

Alright went on alldata today. This is what it has to say about the fuel pressure.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I think I'm leaning toward pulling the one out of the tank on the Kia sense it's already here and wont cost me anything...lol.

Yea no problem. If that will work then yea. Dont forget the fuel filter as well. As well as soft lines.
