Besides, the FE3 DOES exist, it just wasn't very widely sold in the US market.

Custom intake + side drafts would be my advice
Look for rally car builds with 2.0 dohc builds.
Friend runs a duratec 2.0 dohc with side drafts, goes sweet!
Get a hold of a FE-DOHC fuel map and have a look at it, it's alittle strange, i heard carbs don't go well on them.
