I've got a complete F2T engine from a 626 GT that i'm going to be swaping in this summer, and i'll be posting a thread for anyone's interest.
But i was wondering if anyone else has done an F2T swap in detail, or a rotary swap.
My uncle builds race ready 13B engines for RX7s that race at the local road course and i was thinking of getting him to build me one, but i don't know if it's too in depth.

I am kinda new here, but just saw this post,I did a F2T swap on a 90 cabplus last summer.Have been driving the dog for about a month and a half, and am just giddy with the way it runs. <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> It is a pile of work but worth it(I think).
Worst problems are the disty, exhaust manifold, and the thermostat housing. The intake plenum flips around with an adapter made from 1/2 alum.plate.Did away with the disty by using Ford EDIS 4 ign,and runnig MS2 to control injection/spark,Built an exh. manifold from sch.40 steel pipe &amp; 1/2 steel plate(for flanges),the themo housing was a bit worse, but I've pics someplace,I'll dig if ya want to see.Gimpy

I think you bguys are pic crazy, just like me,but back to the thermostat thing. The disty housing on the F2T is at the back of the head and in the way of the firewall so I machined a 1/2 alum.plate to cover that hole &amp; cut the cam off flush with the head. Then I machined the Front timing cover out so that the collant could flow

like this
then I took the B2200 front casting &amp; machined the thermo housing out of it so that it would fit in the F2T front
I made a gasket ,new cam seal, and assyed. Works, and no coolant pipe running from the back of the engine to the front

The engine bay looks like this.I'm running 9psi boost, a Saab intercooler(mayhaps a little small)but it runs
really sweet,is giving me about 20 to 24 mpg, more if I'm not boostin Gimpy
Sorry abuot the crappy cell phone pics, it was all I had @ the time

A shot of the naked manifold(developed a crack at the collecter part on the inside radius)I'll have to take the dog to work with me &amp; weld the overcooked dog back up.Gimpy

yah i have an f2t block in my truck now with just the f2fi Head and intake, always wondered how to do the intake mani thing, i wouldnt want to run my intake because its small and the injectors are smaller.

what did it take to do the intake?
