Sounds like it may be the floater. It's a simple thing, sometimes the arm that is connected to the floater becomes corroded, or the floater fills up with gasoline itself. Just part of wear and tear.

Yea im havin a hard time locating one. Im on my way right now to get one out of a 92 ranger as i read that ford uses the propor ohm range.
