Window Regulator Help

Need to replace my driver's side window regulator. One snag though, my window is already "rolled" up, can't roll it down. Does anybody know how to get it out without breaking it?

i had this problem, i've replaced my passenger regulator twice. all i did was try to roll the window down little by little (i know it wont roll down). then i just put my hands on the sides of the window and push down as hard as i can. eventually it'll come down enough to get out

cut the steel cable that holds up the window. then it will fall.
