Door lock issues.

Alright... so I've been bitching at my girlfriend about not locking my passenger door when she gets out of my truck. Turns out the door unlocks itself when you shut it. hahaha. Anyone know what the problem is? I haven't took the door panel off and checked it out yet, but I was wondering if anyone else had this problem.

Bro lift the handle as you close it and I bet it will stay locked. I have found that most of the trucks I have owned need the handle lifted to stay locked as you shut the door.

werd.Have to lift the handle.Mr.Maz designed the trucks so that u wouldnt lock ur keys in it.either lift the handle or use ur key to lock it.bj

If u push the lock button down and close the door the lock doesnt pop back up?

Bump.If not I suspect that the mechanism that initiates frammin at the jim-jamb and frakin at the krotz has malfunctioned and the vacuum dilator is somehow affected meaning that u no longer have high speed doorlocks-a significant issue in the overall scheme of things.Do I sound like a politician yet or just a dumb red-neck?Lol.BJ

All mazda's i've owned, in order for the door to lock, you have to Hold up the handle. its just a habit now.

I chose the later..lol
