It's called old school cheater amp goodness.
They're rated at 12 volts, not 14.6. And they are much more hardcore rugged than MOST new amps. Trust me when I tell u this, 2 CVR 122s, all 4 coils parallel, the amp ran warm after 6 hours. It was on top the box, under the seat (downfire under extended cab rear seat). Then I tried her on 2-12s that were D1s, I had em for about 2 weeks, and they were all parallel. ONLY problem I had was the AGU fuse holders melting from the current.
I am scared to run the 2100 that low. I ran the 250 to 1/4. The 2100 was at 1.33 ohm mono and about to pop 3-1kw 15s. And that's with the gain below 20%. They're older than 10 years old, but STILL impress the fuck outta me.
i ran two xtr dvc's at 1/2 ohm all day long.....
1s or 2s? My sister had I THINK series 1, but the dustcap cracked after a year, so she went to the first model JL 15w6. I think the XTR DVC hit harder.
im still running my xtr dvs in my truck now....but the dust caps are crap and have silicone on em ...but they still hit like crazy
LOL. Gotta love em. IDK what they did, but the dust caps were trash on all of the XTR subs. A guy out here bough another replacement dust cap, and put an XTR decal on it, LOL.
