Can you not remove the odometer from your old cluster and put it into the new one?

After I junked my old Celica,I kept the cluster out of it and tried rolling it back. There is a little pin/lock deely that keeps the odometer from being moved freely unless the wheels are rolling. I had to hold the pin in it's unlocked position and used a drill to spin the odometer. However, 637 revolutions was equal to 1KM,so you'd be sitting there for a loooooong time to roll it back. When my grandpa and I restored our old Mini Cooper,we sent the gauge cluster away to be refurbished and the guy rolled the odometer back to 0 but I don't know how he did it.

I'd just try swapping the odometers if possible, which I don't see why it wouldn't be.

tach is electronic. it should work without the speedo cable plugged in. at least mine did.

Well the internals behind a bezel without tach are completely different from the internals with a tach, the speedo pin place, odometer reading place, etc....so thats a no go. And Tornado mine didnt work i was told that i had too hook up a positive wire to the Coil? can anyone give me more information about this? Thanks

i agree with mike. if none of your guages are working that means something electrical isnt working. like i said, i didnt do anything for mine to work. just plugged it all in.

Did you try the old cluster? If that doesn't work grab the 12v test light and probe your fuses. I'm not doubting you on looking at the fuse but I've looked at some that look perfect but are indeed blown. Good luck man!
