Could it be the buzzer for the ignition? I know mine buzzes if the keys are in it and the door is open. Just my guess.

it's not the buzzer, or at least my 89 is different. i know cause i searched forever for it then pulled it out and threw it away. haha.

Yea as soon as i get mine back i will be pulling the buzzer out. annoys the hell out of me. other than that not sure what that is.
