Is the bed the same on a standard as it is on an extended cab?

no it is not

if you look close enough in a pic you can see where the distance from the wheel well to the rear of cab is shorter or longer. they're a little different..

CRAP!!!! It thought it was but was hoping it was just me. There is a guy nearby selling the fenders and bed for $150. I wonder if he'll sell the fenders by themselves. Thanks for the info.

word. Also the ex cab bed is 1.5" shorter over all.

Never mind. I can see it's longer. Has anyone ever seen where someone shortened the front of the bed and then shortened the rear frame rails? I know it would make the truck a little shorter but I wonder what the overall appearance would look like.

Shortening the std cab bed to put it on an ex cab without moving the axle? I've seen it before but don't know where pics are right off hand.
