Get a 2200,they're more reliable and easier to get engine parts for.

does the sportage motor bolt up to the stock mounts and tranny in the b2600i trucks?
that would be cool, since i have a full motor from a 2000 here

If I am not mistaken, the transmissions are the same in the 22 and 26. I think a small hole needs to be drilled in the bellhousing for something though..I remember reading it somewhere...may have even been on here.

No the trannys are diff.... i haven't heard about the drillin the hole thing.... i might wanna see that thread, it'd be a hell of alot easier to get a 2200 tranny than my tranny

Trannies are definitely different but if you import a bell housing from a bongo van you can get it all to fit. I would love to get a 2600 4x4 and drop the sportage engine this way, problem is $$$ of importing the bellhousing.
