if i were to do it myself would i need to go to bare metal or just scuff up the old paint and then start to primer??

id do primer.
my boy has his own paint and body shop hes been dealing with a company for more than 20 yrs so his stuff is dirt cheap, paint and materials are less than wholesale. thats why i say 450. the last paint job on my truck was 150, including paint and materials
