I thought the filler would just crck...seems like a spot where there would be some tweakage.

the filler does crack, which is why we are saying to weld it.

its cool, i think mine cracked so soon cause the frame was sitting on the axle due to the drop and it was very rough. as soon as i get my house and a welder i am redoing a lot of stuff that i don't like. i hate doing rework but at least it will be done right this time.

Body filler that is used properly will last forever....Many cars from the factory have filler on them in various places and if they are applied correctly they are as good as lead in 95 percent of the cases.

not trying to be a smarty pants, but a lot of cars have helicoils in them from the factory too, but that doesn't meant that you want one with them....j/m.02

What he said!!!
body filler is great stuff, when used properly. there have been advances in technology and today's filler is different than previous stuff...
people who use body filler as a crutch for poor metalwork are the people that give it a bad name... they blame the filler for thier own crappy shortcuts/laziness.
