If you use epoxy primer( like PPG dp90) it will not fade as bad, the epoxies are ore stable than any spraybomb primer, as they are catalyzed. Also with the xpoxy, let it dry for a couple weeks, then hit it up with a low gloss tire shine, yes it sounds dumb but works good.....Try and get one with no silicone in it though as that makes it a tad harder to paint the truck down the road.
