Number Plate Location

The way my number plate is at the moment it srcaps over every bump and hill. See Pic:



Just thinking of other place to put it, i refuse to have it on an angle .

How hard is it to "sink" it into the gate?

buy a plate box from cando and weld it in... put it whereever ya want!

just make sure you spot weld on a low grade and work really slowly so you don't warp your tailgate.

im in New Zealand im pretty sure we have no cando's here .

How much would the plate boxes go for any way?

I take it they come with a light for at night?

order from they are cheap....

or go to a local metal place/fab show and get them to make u one.

Thanks impulse. Just remembere that my mate is a fabricator . Dont trust him with much but you cant really go wrong with a plate box :S

haha... no problem dude...

how would you spot weld it in.

Cut into the tail gate - sorta push it in and spot weld around the edge - then fill in with soe bog and primer?

Or cut out tabs in the tailgate then bend them in and spot weld to them

make your own...it aint hard

I am - well my mate is - Just wondering about attatching it to the tailgate tho?
