In-line slip

I was curious as to how many or if any of you have had to put a slip or stub in the driveline to keep from burning the carrier? If so what did you get the donor slip from, or a driveline shop? I think I remember seeing a picture of a driveline on here that had a in line slip at the back by the diff.
