well guess what peeps as a true do it ur selfer i was trying to crank down the torsion bars today to sit the front down and guess what happened................... thats wright i broke the bolt that u crank down the torsion bars lol so the driver side is sitting way down now i do have a question can i still drive the truck, turning and stuff, with the torsion bars out, the ball joints flipped and it sitting on the factory chromes pls help lol
it will be a nasty ride with lots of rubbing and bumps but if you had to you could.
so it would probably be better to get another bolt to put the torsion bar back up?
Make sure the BOLT IS GRADE 8 or HIGHER!
As well, did you try doing this without the truck jacked up?
yes you can drive but its gonna kill your kidneys just replace the bolt
always ALWAYS!!! jack the truck up befor turning the torsion bolts.... and do not DO NOT use an impact or air ratchet.... always use a manual ratchet
ok thx guys for all the input but to answer ur question about if i jacked it up .....................nope lol i guess thats what i get for dropping dimes and not dawgs im just not use to the hole torsion bar thing lol but at least my bro has got a parts dawg i can get what i need from lol and nope i didnt use the impact or air ratchet cause it makes it harder to get both side the same lol so atleast i did that much right lol i will post some pics i took of the broken bolt and the truck after it happened lol man she sits low
