anyone ever change their rear shoes? how in the hell do you get those little screws out? i keep trying but i am about to strip them out. i tried on the 89 and on the 83 and i can't get the damn things off. i may just take it to a shop and let them deal with it.

If they are stuck, and impact scredriver works great...and make sure you use the right size bit....and if you dont have an impact screwdriver, you can hit the end of a regular screwdriver witha hammer while you turn it... you might need a friend for that one though.

I hated doing the brakes on my maz.

Drums are a pain in the ass. But if you don't have the money its better than paying.

Gravity is right use an impact screwdriver....and hit the drum itself with a hammer to break it loose.

Good luck!

i tried hiting it with my impact hammer and then turning it but that didn't work either. i guess i will be going to harbor freight to pick up the impact screwdriver. i saw one there a few weeks ago and didn't think about getting it. thanks man.

If it isn't rusted I assume it has not been touched by you before, ever, lol.

I used a 1/2 ratched that was like 1 1/2 ft. and had an #3 adapter socket to fit on the ratchet. IT worked VERY well...

Do you know how to change your brake shoes or did you need help on just the drum screws?

i tried something similar to this already. i put my air hammer with a flush head set on it and pounded the hell out of it and nothing. i will give what you are saying a try, who knows, maybe it will work. thanks.
